That Long-awaited Cool Front

Well, that long-awaited cool front passed through this afternoon. I would have known without the weather app on my phone preparing me! It is a bittersweet thing for this Fibro gal, those cool fronts.

See, I love autumn! The colors, the leaves falling in the breeze, pumpkins and the amazing smells!

I have been waiting for the cool weather to arrive; to be able to feel the cool breeze on my face.

Up until today I have been feeling nothing but the hot and humid air of the Midwest because our house A/C went out last week. Yep! The last 6 days of near 90 degrees and 90÷ humidity!

I made it through the sweltering days…and nights, pain and all.

Having Fibromyalgia like I do means pain continuously, rain or shine.

However, cool fronts can make your body hurt even more.

And to make matters worse, my right knee has swollen up with unbearable pain making it difficult to walk and sit and drive and stand for long periods. (Even Ibuprofen has not eased the pain!)

My Rheumatologist ordered Xrays and blood-work last week to see what is going on, which means another round of the waiting game.

In the meantime I hobble around, writhe in knee pain that wakes me up each time I turn over while sleeping, and just try to make it through each day.

Little things like, oh, I don’t know, say, sitting, going to the bathroom, and just trying to get out of a chair, I do not take for granted these days.

sigh

No, BiG sigh

Tomorrow the highs are in the upper 50’s and even though I feel like my body is crumbling,  I am determined to enjoy this autumn weather!!

Who is with me??

God Bless-
