When a flare starts, it may end in an hour, it may end in a day, but sometimes it goes on for over a week.<\/p>\n
This one started (unexpectedly) days before my cycle began and lasted through an overlap of a strong headcold which knocked me off my feet and even gave me a low-grade temperature. The aches from the cold were quadrupled from the Fibro and then multiplied to where I could barely function because of it.<\/p>\n
I curled up on my couch with a comfy pillow and soft blanket and could not move for two whole days. (Except to constantly blow my never-ending runny nose…)<\/p>\n
Add emotional anxiety to the mix and you may be a candidate for the funny farm.<\/p>\n
Feeling this way is not funny.<\/i> But when you have Fibromyalgia this is all a part of a flare-up.<\/p>\n
Pain in the bones. Aches in the muscles. Joint pain mirroring arthritis…in every joint.<\/i><\/p>\n
Ugh! Do you know<\/i> how many joints we have?????<\/p>\n
It’s enough to drive you bonkers! <\/i><\/p>\nAnd then…one morning, or at one point in the day, it stops.<\/h3>\n
You realize the flare is over and with some hope in your mind, you expect all the pain to leave with it.<\/p>\n
But is doesn’t. It is still there…only milder, duller, like it’s been “shelved ” for later. You can almost feel<\/i> it hovering.<\/p>\n
But the “flare” is gone…for now.<\/p>\n
Don’t bother racking your brain for what caused it. Fibro-fog won’t let you remember, anyway.<\/p>\n
Ah…such is the life of a Fibromyalgia sufferer.<\/p>\n
Yesterday I saw no end to the flare. Today, I felt the flare leave. How will I feel tomorrow? Ask me tomorrow!<\/p>\n
For now, I will do my best to sleep.<\/p>\n
