{"id":1315,"date":"2019-07-09T22:50:16","date_gmt":"2019-07-09T19:20:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thefibro-lupusbutterfly.com\/?p=1315"},"modified":"2019-07-09T22:50:22","modified_gmt":"2019-07-09T19:20:22","slug":"fibromyalgia-and-brain-fog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefibro-lupusbutterfly.com\/?p=1315","title":{"rendered":"Fibromyalgia and Brain Fog"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2>When you have Fibromyalgia and your brain does not cooperate with what you need to get done, it makes getting through the day quite the challenge!<\/h2>\n<h3>This morning I set out to check off my list of &#8221; things-to-do-today&#8221; as I did them.\u00a0 However, I had numerous interruptions; ie, the internet man showed up earlier than expected to fix my modem, phone calls and emails kept interrupting my train of thought, and refinance junk suddenly had to get done <em>right then<\/em>, and, well, MY list of things to do did not get done!\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>Later, when I tried to focus on the list, my brain just shut down&#8230;like out-of-order, shut down.\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>I used to be on top of EVERYTHING! I was the queen of orderliness and the go-to person for accomplishing a task.<\/h3>\n<h2>Where is that person??????<\/h2>\n<h3>I don&#8217;t want the label of &#8220;Fibromyalgia&#8221; to define me. What I mean by that is just because I have it doesn&#8217;t mean I don&#8217;t have a life. It is just not the life I used to have.\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3><em>Readjusting to the new me has been an on-going issue for me.\u00a0<\/em><\/h3>\n<h3>Like today.<\/h3>\n<h3>My brain is done. I am typing this because I need to vent a bit. If you are still reading this then I thank you for &#8220;listening&#8221;&#8230;<\/h3>\n<h3>Only fellow chronic pain sufferers understand the battle we face. They call it brain fog, and that is how I feel.\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h1>FoGgY.<\/h1>\n<h3>This blog began to help me express how I feel and the battles I face daily as well as the mini-victories I receive each day.\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>Today my brain was overloaded and it just shut down. By stopping to write, my hope is that my brain will re-boot itself so I can accomplish something on my list. Not for the lists sake, but because I have relatives arriving in two days, lesson plans to finish for our upcoming home school year and because my personality <em>just desires a check on that stupid list!<\/em><\/h3>\n<h3>Yes, I have Fibromyalgia. Some days I think it has me, too.
