Living Daily with Chronic Invisible Illness

Sewing when you have Fibromyalgia and Lupus

Yesterday I spent 6 solid hours sewing quiet time pillows and cases for some of my grandkiddos. I also altered some garments and took in some skirts. Overall, it was a very productive day, and I felt quite satisfied when I was done.

Afterward my body locked up and within minutes I found myself sinking to the floor, to my knees, and leaning forward to help stretch my spine, which felt like it was a burning fire ready to consume me.

After I pulled myself upright and ate the dinner my daughter had made, I lay back on my heating pad.

The pain was excruciating. We watched a movie called ” Arthur the King” which helped keep my mind off of the pain. It is a charming movie and I suggest it highly! I awoke today feeling quite run over, as all Lupus and Fibromyalgia sufferers understand. I am not sure what my today will entail, save morning stretches and trying to make it through.

Yes, I overdid it yesterday. Yes, I am paying for it today. Yes, I am doomed to repeat this again someday.

Only Lupus and Fibromyalgia Warriors understand this.

vicious cycle of “do and pain” and, honestly even, “don’t and pain “

What will my today look like? Well, I woke up feeling completely run-over and like road kill. But I don’t have to sew today, so that is something! Haha

God Bless- The Fibro-Lupus Butterfly 🦋
